Fire-Fighting System

System of equipment used to prevent, extinguish, localize, or block fires in enclosed spaces. Automatic fire-fighting systems are actuated automatically according to predetermined programs which are termed as automatic fire protection systems and those which are actuated by an operator are fire protection units.

A fire fighting system is probably the most important of the building services, as its aim is to protect human life and property, strictly in that order.
